Second Place: Abby Blocker, PhD Candidate, University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa - User-centered design of a virtual clinic system for primary healthcare in remote, rural, and underserved areas.
Third Place: Sara Emad, 5th Year Medical Student, Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt - NILE addresses Egypt's diabetes epidemic through lifestyle modification and optimized management.
Director's Discretionary Award: Tan Fuen Ann, Masters Candidate, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Malaysia - Assessing the cardioprotective potential of stingless bee honey from Sabah through in vitro evaluation.
